A core aspect of HOBY Vermont is empowering our ambassadors to return to their hometowns and make a difference in their communities through service. The Leadership for Service (L4S) program challenges students to complete 100 hours of community service in the year following their attendance at the seminar. Those who achieve this incredible accomplishment will receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award which includes a signed letter from the President of the United States.
Our goal at HOBY Vermont is to leverage our alumni network to support ambassadors in their volunteer projects. We help connect alumni to:
Established nonprofits in Vermont that need volunteers
Resources for those who want to start their own service project
Other HOBY alumni who can volunteer and support new service projects
